I think the widest you can go is 255. The minimum rim width for a 275 for most tires is 9", with 9.5" being the optimum.

Of course I know of people on these boards that are running 275 on the stock wheels that would beg to differ.

Go with a 245/35/19 in front and a 255/40/19 in the back. You'll lose some of the understeer (More neutral handling) and keep the correct stagger. The 245s will work fine on the front and the 255s are the widest you should go with on the 8.5" wheel.

I would go with a 245 on the front and a 265 on the back and drop the aspect ratio one notch from stock for each.

This is what I would be running if the 2004s rear wheels were 8.5"

A 265 fits safely on an 8.5" rim according to TireRack.

I went w/ 275s out back, 2?3/4?5 up front on the stock 17s. And no, my tires havn't magically fallen off or exploded from doing that. I did the same thing w/ my mustang and had 0 problems (infact, I had FAR better handling and respons ebecause the stock tires suck ***)

I just measured my OEM 19's from the inside to outside of rim and came up 9.0 front and 9.5 rear. I think 275 would work for rear if you have 9.5 rear

You measured them wrong. According to the manual, they are 19x8 up front, and 19x8.5 out back.

Did you measure from the inside of the seating surface, and not the outside of the rim?

I would go with what Lou said.
