G35 in the snow?

Hi,
I just found this forum and have a question for G35 owners. I live in the Boston area and we do see our share of snow and like to know if anybody has any experience with their car in the snow yet. I haven't had a rear drive car since my 1991 twin turbo ZX and that car was scary in 2" of snow even with 4 snow tires. I'm going to look at a Silver/Willow 6MT tomorrow to replace my A4 so thanks in advance for any info.

Dave

I second that emotion! I have driven all types of cars in snow. This is the first time I have ever been stuck. But... I didn't buy this car thinking it would go anywhere in the snow. I just didn't get home in time!

I live on the South Shore and find it to be good in the snow for a rear-wheel drive. Just don't, do-not, don't get the 18" wheels....

Re: G35 in the snow?

its better than the Lexus Gs400 I had. Both are rear wheel drive, but for some reason the G35 is better in the snow. BUT don't be fooled, you will still get stuck if your not carefull. I am planning on getting the wheel/snow tire kit from tire rack.

Re: G35 in the snow?

Hi.

I'm in the Chicago area and wanted to know if I opted for the 17" wheel package with the all-season tires, would I still have a problem with the snow? I just don't feel like doing another set of winter wheels and tires for another car.

TIA,

Sal

Sup Sal,
I live in the Chi town area too and just got my coupe with 17" two weeks ago. It handled pretty well with the 2-3" snow we got a couple of days ago. I just fishtailed once in the parking lot. Just bring a lighter right foot in the wintertime.
