actually it all depends on where you are.. most cars in cali run lean.. i myself was in the high 13s sometimes 14s for A&F.. which wasnt good..

yes the shift light is that red block that u see.. mines was set at 6,500. and VQ is nice

That's because the 6MT that GM uses in the vette has two overdrive gears. The 6MT in the G only has one. You should look at the automatic equipped Pontiac GTO which also has a vette engine. It get's an EPA rated 16mpg city and 21 hwy or something like that. That was probably the main reason I didn't buy one, and got the G instead. Well, that and the fact that it doesn't offer a sunroof. I guess the killer was the fact that the dealer at the time wanted 10k over MSRP

Are you nuts? It will be 100% worse than at 80. Ask yourself this question--you're on the freeway going 80mph. Would you rather be hit on your rear bumber by a car going 81mph, or 160mph? That's right--81mph

Said another way--would you like to park(completely stop) your car on the 405 and have a g35 slam into you from the rear at 80mph?

Why would you think your above comment on a blowout scenario at 160 vs 80would be equivalent? At 80, you are 100% better off than at 160.

I will assume you were speaking extemporaneously.

When the driver of the G was doing around 150 on his way to 160, did you see how long it took him to pass the cars on the right? I believe the leisuerly drivers on the right must have been going 140+. They must have some spectacular accidents on that road.
