That is exactly what i'm talking about, it's all in the feeling of it, it all becomes second nature after awhile

Thinking too much...just do whatever feels right. You can let off the gas, downshift, upshift, hit the brakes...whatever. The result will be the same.

Spend less time thinking of these questions and more time on what investments to make.

Are you saying this only because the OP said he's an experienced manual driver? There are always threads popping up where first-time manual drivers ask for advice. There is a lot to learn from these threads and you'd be surprised how many people are doing stuff 'wrong' (i.e. harming their clutch/transmission excessively with their driving style). Whenever I'm in a stick car, I always watch the driver's actions. It's interesting to observe, which is the one thing that separates it from driving in an automatic.

its like if someone posts about something as trivial as waking up in the morning:

1. when you wake up in he morning, do you open both eyes at the same time? or left then right? or right then left?

2. when you put your boxers/tighties on, which leg goes in first, right or left?

3. Do you then go to the bathroom first, or take a shower?

4. when you brush your teeth, do you do the outside first, or the inside?

5. look at question 3 again, if you do go to the bathroom first, and you takea sh*t, do you wipe? or just jump in the shower and let the hot water wash the mud away?

wipe? no wonder it itches. do you wipe upwards or wipe downwards? hahaha

Wow. The assumptions people make from one thread. AHhh, no one seems to have seen my second post (#24) in this thread. Oh well. At least Finiti is reading the whole thing.

And those dissenters out there could take a second to look at the repsonses to the question - most were not answered the same with people doing various things in the same situation. So I would say it was not completely pointless.

With all the duplicate threads on this board - same questions asked every day, why this one bothers anyone is beyond me. Just don't waist your time responding!

And while I think post 24 makes this obvious, I would like to, for the record, state this thread was posted for fun to see what others do. Not because I am sitting in my car wondering what I SHOULD DO. I am not over thinking it - I was just curious. These are simple questions that require simple responses - with many correct answers I am sure.

But I was curious as to why people did what and if something was better than another.

Peace out. Oh and I quit smoking 5 days ago, so I am pretty much keeping my mind off it using the boards. DOH, now you've done it, I'm thinking about it again!
