Got good mileage, WoW

My combined driving mileage has been averaging about 19 MPG, This past weekend I piled on about 350 miles of easy highway miles and averaged an astonishing 23.7 MPG, my speed averaged about 70 MPH, with a few street milesat lower speeds, I did not baby it, but i did not abuse it.
What have you been getting???

The highest I've seen is 25.1. My nav system (which tests out pretty acuurately) tells me that I'm currently averaging 24.2. I drive about 85% highway, and don't have too heavy a foot most of the time.

I'm not sure what I'm getting, but lately it seems my gas has been doing pretty good...

I think I should actually be measuring GPM not MPG, but I just can't keep my foot off the floor in this car!!!!!! Hey, it's only money...if I didn't spend it on gas, I'd probably just buy more Grey Goose Vodka!!!

Re: Got good mileage, WoW

I average around 21 in mixed driving - got 26 on the highway one time, but I had the cruise set at 75 for pretty much the whole trip.

Heavy right foot disease is killing my mileage, but it's good treatment for day to day stress.....lower cal than the vodka, too

My NAV is currently reading 20.7 and I drive it hard. Las Vegas heat does not help.

Re: Got good mileage, WoW

In mixed city and hwy driving my mileage is usually around 20 MPG's (US gallons). On the highway on cruise at 60 to 70 mph, it'll do 28 (without the air on).
Not bad if you've got the time, and are on a budget. lol
But this car feels so good with your right foot planted, it's almost a shame to think about MPG's lol.

I like to plant the foot all the time, perhaps the reason why my normal average is below 20 MPG, LOL.
My kids, as most of you in the forum, think I'm nuts for topping maximum speed in my "G" as often as I can , But I like it!!!!!

Hey bro, yah speed is fun, and these rides are certainly built for it. Just make sure you've got the 'space', and your tires are in good shape.

Re: Got good mileage, WoW

So, far I've gotten 19 MPG everytime I fill up. I don't always floor it. I try to keep the RPMs under 5,000. And sometimes it stays under 4,000. For some reason, I haven't been able to get over 19MPG. I just got my first oil change. Not sure if that'll help. Most of my traffic is highway (not stop and go), so it seems like a bit low. I'll keep an eye on it, and if it doesn't go up a bit, I'll have to take it in.

Here in California, premium gas is 91 octane. I'm getting about 19 mpg with 70% highway and average highway speed about 80 mph. Are others getting better mileage because of 92 or 93 octane being available in their state?
