I was having the same problem. I had both sending units replaced last week with my transmission. Haven't had the chance to fill it up again to see if that fixed my problem.

 

Well mine is having a similar problem. Luckly I reset my trip every time I fill up.

This tank I had autox and usually is my worst tank. But I was able to get 330 miles out of just a half a tank!! LOL So I got a bit scared and went to fill up and low and behold I put in more gallons than I did last time when I was empty with the fuel light on. My gauge was stuck at half! So the car is in the garage with the battery unplugged to see if this will resolve it. I have noticed each time I remove the batt the fuel gauge acts differently on where it reads.
