well I just set up another appointment (at Niello in concord this time). Debbie is the one who will set up the appointment. She said they've done several of these and simply by looking at my records from the other dealerships she matched the problem as identical and sufficient to replace the entire clutch pedal assembly (which apparently is the only way to resolve the clicking issue).

So they have a new assembly on order for me, I can't wait to get rid of this stupid clicking! Too bad this is a nationwide problem and the pedal assembly is on national back order...

who knows why the other dealerships are trying to bursh this issue off as "normal"...

Same problem here. 3 visits, no resolution. They claim to have replaced the clutch assembly but it looks the same to me. This is at coconut creek infiniti.

My clutch pedal clicks as well - they told me my clutch was getting harder to press and that it would probably need to be replaced soon, and it related to the clicking sound

Hey xxjkimxx, My '05 g35 has the same issue. It occurs 20-30% of the time while I'm driving. It has 12k miles on it.

I live in Burke,VA so I'll be taking my car to Passport Infiniti in Alexandria. I will call Passport tomorrow and make an appointment on Thursday.

I notice you live in Springfield so you live near by to me. If you contact Passport as well, maybe they will take the hint that it is a known issue which needs to be addressed.

I had success after the return visit when the parts arrived. As mentioned in my PM Parts # and description listed on invoice are:

01521-00011 pin
30631-CD014 &Rod Assy-push (I don't know exactly what this item is)

G/L all.

Yesterday I turned down my music and closed my windows. It is really 80% of the time I hear the clicking noise and not 20-30% of the time.

You can definately hear the clicking when you turn off your radio and have the windows up. The clicking occurs when the clutch pedal is fully depressed all the way.

Like I mentioned in my earlier post, I have an appointment with a dealership tomorrow and hope they repair this problem and not give me a hard time.

Passport Infiniti said that it is normal. The mechanic explained that a connector attached to the clutch assembly has a clicker. It is designed to click whenever the clutch is depressed all the way. The connector's is there so it ensures that the clutch is depressed all the way and starts the engine.
He removed the connector and showed me it. He pressed down on the clicker and it was the same noise.

Mine happens when releasing, and it 1/2 the way up (not touching any switches).
