Manbir,
The damage doesn't seem too extreme...take it as a lesson learned and go easy on the throttle next time...especially in the rain.
My last 2 cars were both RWD cars with 400RWHP+ and I still drive the g35 everyday with the VCD on...even more timid in the rain.

Ouch, turn it off for the first time in the rain? There's sadly many threads with guys who turn off vdc who have totaled their cars in the rain. VDC of course doesn't always save the car, but it will kill the gas and apply the brakes sooner than the driver, which usually gets your enough time to get out of your "situation..."
Vdc
I was too ashamed to share my story but it has much better ending than this one. After a week of having the G, it was raining and I for some insane reason turned the VDC off, to fish tail a bit. I only did it on roads I'm familiar with, that are wide, and there were no cars in sight. I was careful so it didn't fish tail until the last turn into my block. I gave it too much gas, and I lost control. Thank God the G stopped in the middle of the road after 180 degree turn without hitting anything. Lesson learned well. Never turn VDC off in the rain or in slippery conditions unless you're in a parking lot or other safe big space.
Sorry to see that. A few months ago I rearended a Land Cruiser at a light when the morons in front of him suddenly stopped after the light turned green. The damage was similar to yours and it was perfectly fixed. Do not worry, just take it to the best shop you can find.
I know how you feel... I hydroplaned w/ slicks my super modified Evo 8 and totalled the car... believe me I wouldn't want that thing fixed even if I lost 8k in engine mod's alone in the car.
My accident didn't involve any damage in the engine just the entire frame was gone so it was totalled.. just take the car to a good shop and you should be alright.. good luck and glad your ok.

ouch!!!
your g running on the goodyear rsa's right? i think vdc can only do so much in inclement weather with crappy tires...such systems aren't fool proof or fail safes when the driver is grossly misjudging the situation...
makes me feel good to have the 2k2 maxima as a beater... the g35 hasn't seen a drop of rain yet....

Whether you get genuine OEM parts are not is not up to you. You can write as many letters you want till the cow comes home, but your insurance company will ultimately decide that. This is where the differences between insurance companies will come into play. As the old addage goes, "you get what you pay for".
