HELP W/ Buying

I'm not ready to pay 35,250 MSRP for a 31,700 coupe, but the only dealer in my area "Infiniti of Dublin" has too many pampas snobs still paying "O V E R" MSRP, and they won't even talk discount. When I asked for a quote he walked me over to the car, pointed at the sticker and read or the MSRP. "I have no reason to discount any coupe.... and when I do I better have a good reason....blah blah blah....there was only 20,000 made...."

I want a 03 auto black/graphite w/prim pkg and w/wheel pkg! I can pay up to $32,000.00

-Can any one here help a guy that lives in Columbus Ohio? I've even pay to have a car shipped cross country if I have too.

Thanks!

Re: HELP W/ Buying

the coupe is worth every dollar of it's MSRP pricing.. honestly, if you read all the posts about pricing on this forum, you'll see that ALMOST every single person paid MSRP.. those who got discounts, and very few posted they did, most did recommend you looking at rural dealerships where the car isn't as cherished.. really, you should know that the demand for the car is so much more than the supply, thus, most dealerships know that if you don't buy it, somebody else might come in tomorrow and buy it..

if you want a G for $32K, maybe you should look into a used one.. they are out there..

Re: HELP W/ Buying

Hehe you're going to kill me when you hear the deal I got. I got my lease for $520 a month. $2500 off of the MSRP with $0 down, 15,000 miles a year (my mile cap if I decide to turn the car in at the end of the lease) with a 38 month lease and a 60,000 mile bumper to bumper warrenty. I got a trunk mat and cargo net. My G is black, fully loaded, no navigation. If I want to buy the car when the lease is up I owe the dealer $13,000 and change. For a total of about $34,000 give or take a hundred and some odd dollars.

I think the only reason why I got this deal is because my dad is a clothing salesman and he knows how to read the car salesmen at the dealerships. He also knows a woman that leases cars that gave him the information so he could talk the salesman down. It sucks that he needed to co-sign my car even though I pay for it but I guess it all worked out. Happy buying.

Thanks - Joey Avino

Cargo net is standard in the coupe.

my recommendation would be to just wait. eventually the demand for the couple will drop and thats when coupes will start to be available for discount or even at invoice prices. you can check out invoice prices at edmunds.com. the only bad part is that you realize how much money then make off this car by selling everything at msrp including all the other item like navi, spoiler, etc.

Re: HELP W/ Buying

I live an hour or so south of you in the Dayton area. Infiniti of Dayton was very helpful and they did offer me a slight discount off MSRP. Of course, the same owner has several dealerships and I have bought 3 other vehicles from them in the past. If you expect $3K off, you better look for a different car or wait a year for the G35C sales to cool off. Since you want an automatic, that may help... 6MT's are scarce.
I don't know what they have in inventory, or what they will offer, but contact Teresa, and you may be able to do better than Dublin. I know they have a number of Columbus area customers. (Maybe because of the way you are being treated?)

Re: HELP W/ Buying

One day, and 5 dealerships later, the best I could do is $800 under MSRP and not pay $75 reg. and doc. fee. What do you guys think??? Take it? or leave it? Its only been a day?

I think that's a great price and you should go for it.

It's a GREAT BUY at MSRP! Take the $800 you saved and celebrate like hell!
