Weird noises when I turn off the car. help?

I have a 05 6mt with about 8300 miles and have had no problems unitl now.. i guess.

Anyways whenver i turn of the car it makes some wierd noise like the tramsmission is winding down. Sounds like its grinding then it just stops. I know its hard to explain....It just started all of sudden. I tried to do a search but could not find anything.

Any help would be great guys.

Thanks

They actually said it was normal? I was surprised that a car that expensive makes that kind of noise and its normal. I told them I am still coming in so one of the techs can look at.

Ill let you all know how it goes.

Ts it a gradual clunkclunk-clunk-c l u n k as the engine spins down? It almost sounds like a pre-ignition cackle on my car.

350Z's do the same noise even the 06's I work at Courtesy Nissan and I own a G and I was worried about the same thing. I put my in 2nd gear and then turn the car off. No sounds. Or just press the clutch pedal and turn it off.

great thread. I've been wondering for over a year now what that noise was, so I tried pushing the clutch in and boom the noise was gone!

Well nice to see that problem solved, but I have another one, on my 06 coupe lately I hear a sound that i can only describe as liquid moving around every time i rev my car under 2K rpms, it is very loud and noticeable. It didnt do this till about 3 weeks ago. It sounds like water flowing down a drain hole. It does this regardless of whether the car is stationary or moving, but only below 2K rpms. I have had several friends confirm the sound just so I dont sound crazy. I am gonna have the dealer look at it when I go for my oil change in a few weeks, but has anyone come across this problem?
