worst experience, ever

@ Infiniti of Montclair (LA area)
I called them and talked to a salesperson who told me they had a 6MT out back and he said he will clean it up and bring it out front for me to test drive, so i went there an hour later and i see it in the showroom, it looks like its been there for over a week!!!!!! what a liar.
I told him lets take it out for a spin, he said i cant because its in the showroom and he'd have to run a credit report and all that crap first..... THE DEALERSHIP WANTED ME TO FREEKIN BUY THE CAR BEFORE EVEN DRIVING IT!!!!!

I just dont understand, why is everybody acting like its a Ferrari or something???
Its just another measily 30,000 dollar car offered by nissan.
I was so enthustiastic about getting this car, but now i am having lots of doubts..... I am extremely dissapointed in the treatment I received.

-Rami

PS: advice to anyone in the SoCal area, DO NOT GO TO INF. OF MONTCLAIR! waste of time.

Re: worst experience, ever

Many cars are like that at many dealers. They wouldn't let my roomate take out his ITR before he was just about ready to sign the papers at the Acura dealer. They would not let me test drive any new S2000s at any Honda dealers. So, in that regard they aren't acting like it's a Ferrari. The more miles that are on the cars, the less someone is going to want to pay MSRP for it.

But in regards to the dealer flat out lying, that's lame. Real lame. Other people here have had some good experiences with LA area dealers. I've ordered my Car from McPherson in Tustin and I do reccomend them. There are others here who could reccomend their dealers to you in this area. It could be very very hard to find a 6MT to test drive, however.

yeah, I also recommend Glendale Infiniti, though the last time I talked to them, they had sold all their G35 coupes.

Re: worst experience, ever

I picked up my g35c 6mt at Thousand oaks infiniti. Their the #1 infiniti dealer West of the Mississipi sales wise. Also recently recieved an award for customer satisfaction. I had a great experience. The salesman let me take the g35c out into the local hilly area, with tons of twisty roads just so i could try out the handling. Plus they add free lifetime maitanece to top off the deal. Try coming down her for a change

What exactly is covered under the lifetime maintenance you mentioned???
Sounds interesting at least for others to use for haggling.

Re: worst experience, ever

Fields Infiniti in Libertyville, IL (Chicago area) was awesome today! They treated me like a king and let me go out by myself for an extended test drive.

A far cry from Libertyville Nissan just across the street. The sleezeball salesman tried to close me at least 5 times in the 15 minutes I was talking to him and didn't even offer to let me drive the car. He was also patronizing and didn't know sh*t about the car he was trying to sell me.

Buying a car at the Infiniti dealer instead of the Nissan dealer is reason enough to go with a G35 over the Z in my opinion.

Re: worst experience, ever

whats up everyone- i sold my gs400 today to buy the G35; does anyone know of a good dealership to go to in NorCal?

if so, what does the waiting list look like for a 6MT? last time I checked back in Nov the list was backed up to March or April
