I know this isn't a problem because it has been doing it since day 1, but i'm curious if this happens to anybody else - on cold days, i.e., when it's been below freezing (0deg. celcius), when i start the G for the first minute there's like a high-pitched scratching sound coming from the engine....almost like an ungreased bearing or like a rock were caught in the belts. But after a minute it's gone, and it only starts again if it's left sitting in the cold for atleast a day.

Any thoughts/similar things happen to you?

 

I get a slight squeaking sound too...on cold start up.. its random though.. i think its coming off the belt that runs the A/C compressor... i do live in los angeles so it dosent get as cold here
