Yeah I have the same issue with my car. It started to happen about 6 months after I got the car. At first it sounded like it was knocking, but I had everything checked out and it came back ok. It does go away when I push the clutch in.

Fast forward about 4.5 years and the sound is still here, even after a clutch change about 6months ago. At this point I have gotten used to it. I'm guessing there is nothing to worry about since I have had no major problems during this time period.

only happens when the idle is at or just above 600 RPM

any higher and it won't do it

I just bought my 03 6MT 3 days ago 47k miles and today noticed the same noise. The infiniti dealer told me the clutches are noisy so I guess this is part of that "noise."

 

mine does it too. im over it everyones does.

 

wow i get the same noise i thought my clutch was going bad . its sounds pretty bad like it was scaring the shhh outta me

 

Sounds like a broken record, I know, but I also hear this noise when idling.. And I hear it sometimes when I am engaging the clutch in first gear (only if the engine has been running a while). The noise I hear when engaging sounds like the same clutch/flywheel rattling noise. Anyone else hear the rattling when engaging the clutch in 1st?

 

I had this as well. I used my AutoEnginuity to bump my idle up to 725 from 650 and it went away completely.

Sounds much nicer now.
