DON'T PAY MSRP ANYMORE
Re: DON'T PAY MSRP ANYMORE
Well, there are three infiniti dealerships in CT but two are by the same owner (hart). I got mine at Hart in West Haven...they wouldn't initially budge but I was about to order a car from Devan in Fairfield which is closer to my job and I found a salesman eager to steal buisiness from them. Let me know if you want his name to give him a call...I sorta owe the man a favor after changing my order like 4 times on him!
Re: DON'T PAY MSRP ANYMORE
mine was originally 1000 off msrp. but, i locked in price, not in relation to sticker.
since this is for an 04, which i shall take ownership for any day now, it now becomes 1250 off sticker since people have posted a 250 increase over 03.
for you others in NJ who got discounts, where? mine is douglas infiniti

Re: DON'T PAY MSRP ANYMORE
I don't know how you guys are getting them below MSRP, but I'm pretty sure all dealers in LA area do not sell it below sticker price. The only thing you can really haggle on are the dealer installed options. I work at the dealership and I've been on dealer trades and I'm pretty positive in LA area that you cant get it lower than MSRP. And trust me, the demand is still as high as ever.
Re: DON'T PAY MSRP ANYMORE
stupenal,
i played smaller dealer off large dealer. 10 minutes away is the #1 worldwide sales leader of infiniti's. i called a smaller guy and said i was about to order from big guy, but if he discounted the calculated price by 1000 i'd buy from him over phone. no test drives, no headaches. a little haggling, done.
for him, why not. i live closer to big guy and would have bought it there. also, did bargaining on day allocations have to be in.

Re: DON'T PAY MSRP ANYMORE
Why would anyone go out and buy a one year old car for any less than a two to three thousand off M.S.R.P.? That car might be hot right now but, as soon as the 04' model hits the lots i'll be damned if anyone with half a brain would buy the 03' over the 04'. I've lueked on G-35 forums now and posted on some for at least a year and I do know that for the $$$ it's like the 5TH Gen Max was for lots of us, A Great Bang for the Buck. But, it's a depreciable asset and therefore in months that 03' even in a 6MT. Coupe will be worth three to four thousand $$$ less in loan value. Oh well, still haven't ordered my 04' but will be doing that this Fall. Just my $.02.
Re: DON'T PAY MSRP ANYMORE
If you plan on keeping the car for more than a few years, the final difference between an '03 and an '04 will depend much more on mileage and condition than the model year. Mine will be garaged most of the Ohio winter, and should be in excellent shape after 4-5 years... I hope!
