Tinted windows story.
Tinted windows story. - UPDATE!!
Let me start by saying this was idiotic of me... especially because I thought about it before doing so, but did it anyway.
So I had to go to the CHP's office to take care of something and I park my G35 Coupe right smack in front of their main office window. Problem?... I have all of my windows tinted LIMO BLACK. So, I'm in there and I'm thinking, "I should go move the car.. NAW they're too busy to notice" Five minutes later this woman officer comes to the front desk, looks outside and says (in these exact words) "Whoa, who's car is that... they need to get cited!" Then looking at me, she says, "Is that you car?" I said yes. She said, "Looks beautiful, but it's ilegal. I'm going to give you a citation. Give me your DL."
I think to myself, DAMN why didn't I go with my instinct and move the freakin' car?! So, she takes my DL and then just holds on to it as she is dealing with someone else there. About 10 min. later I ask her how to take care of it? She said I can take it to any CHP station and have them sign off on it indicating I took care of the problem. "Or", she says, "I can just have you take them off here and not write you up." I say heck yeah, let's do it. So she goes off to bring me a blade. While she goes back to get it, I'm called in to take care of my original issue. She then comes back to where I'm at, and since I'm speaking with someone else, she just kind of waits on the side. Finally giving up, she just walks away.
I'm still taking care of my business with the person I'm speaking with, when another front desk cop, hands my DL to the cop I'm talking to. He doesn't know what the heck is going on so when he asks why that cop had my DL, I IMEDIATELY interrupt him and get his attention back to our topic. He puts down the DL and as we continue to talk, I grab it non-chalantly, put it in my wallet... finish up with him and take off.
So now, my question is... I didn't sign anything and she didn't write me up while I was there... Could she have made a copy of my DL and will send me the citation through the mail? Or did, I just escape a really close one since I didn't sign anything?
Sorry for the long story, but I just want my fellow "Coupers" to help me out. Thank you.
UPDATE - I just remembered my wife knows a couple of police officers through her work and one of them told her that they are not allowed by law to make a copy of my DL. Therefore, she must've just taken it to check up on my record and let me go. NICE!!

And by the way, she was not hot at all... Maybe that's why they keep her indoors behind a desk.
