Additional titanium-tinted interior trim, limited-slip differential, 225/45WR18 front tires, 245/45WR18 rear tires, titanium-tinted alloy wheels.
- For Coupes, titanium interior finish was determined by "Peformance Tire and Wheel Package" and was available on every car produced. However, certain combinations were harder to find (6MT w/o Premium Package, 5AT w/ titanium console, etc.)
- All coupes had the "SAT" button, but the early models did not have the pre-wire (from the radio to the roofline for antenna attachment, maybe?)
- Early 03's came with the 350Z console, which features a "dead" center rocker switch between the heated seat switches and no cushioned armrest
I kept the original brochure for the 2003 coupe after I bought mine, and all the pictures show the 03.5 center console. This is especially odd because the brochure was produced in October of 2002, when new coupes were still shipping with the 350Z console. Maybe the supplier for the new consoles didn't deliver on time? I dunno.
I've always wondered roughly how many coupes were produced before the 03.5 change. Take a look at your VIN and see what number you are. The last six of mine read 203684, which I read in another forum means that it was the 3684th off the production line. Anybody else have the old console with a higher VIN? Or the new console with a similarly low VIN? Just curious...

in 2003.5 and onwards it would stay in 5th gear'

Mine is '03 6MT, CB, old console (you have to be a contortionist to use the center cupholders), no pre-wiring (would have cost me a grand for Infiniti to put Sirius in, so I went to Circuit City and got it installed for free) but VIN ends M207074. So unless superchargedg above changed his center console, I don't think those last 4 numbers mean order of production. When I picked mine up in February of '03, the carpeted mats the dealer gave me for the back didn't fit right- the old console was too long. He gave me a full set of rubber mats for nothing (big deal). I still don't have carpeted mats for the back, and my front carpeted mats, in willow, have no Infiniti logo on them. Clearly they weren't ready with all the little details at the beginning. I'm not complaining, though. For the first year and a half, I barely saw any others on the road.
I'm questioning the VIN sequence myself too. My wife bought a 5AT coupe later in the 03 model year (June), and it's VIN was 216235 or something like that. Interesting to hear about your mats. My wife's car had the shorter console, of course, so she had a single piece mat that went over the center tunnel. Because I had the longer console, mine shipped with two seperate smaller mats in the back. I have Infiniti logos on all my mats, but they're in graphite not willow. My car was produced in October of 02.
Cool that you got one of the very few Carribean Blues. I was undecided between it and black, but in the end I found a great deal on a black one with 1800 miles on it (fully loaded). Remember how awesome it was to be the only guy on the road way back then? You must still get that feeling with your color... :-)
