Heated Seat Problem

So I tryed to turn on the heated seats today and the passenger side doesn't work. It doesn't light up and it doesn't heat up. I don't know if the wires underneath are loose or if a fuse is blown, what are your thoughts. I would hate to spend a ton of cash at the dealer to fix a wire or a fuse.

Not sure if your forum join date is a good indication of when you got your car, but are you still under warranty?

Another thing....I'd imagine that if your drivers side one works, then it isn't a blown fuse, as they'd both be run on the same one.

Car has 39,985 miles on it so no... it is barely not under warranty. I might call to see if my dealer willl still cover it, but I doubt it.

I had the same problem. My stupid fix was to bang the area around the button a bit with my hand. That was two years ago and it hasn't acted up since. Felt good too.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe that Infiniti's come with a 4yr/60,000 mile warranty. It should still be under warranty. This was one of the reasons for purchasing the Infiniti over the Nissan.

Are you sitting on the seat when checking? Maybe some spilled something over it. I would def. take it to the dealer. good luck

Our standard warranties:

4-year/60,000-mile basic coverage under the New Vehicle Limited Warranty
4-year/60,000-mile Federal Emission Defect Limited Warranty
6- year/70,000-mile Limited Powertrain Coverage
7-year/unlimited-mileage Corrosion Coverage
10-year/unlimited-mileage Seat Belt Warranty

Wow... I thought the basic was 3-year/36,000 and the power train was 5 year 60k... wow.
