Is 3200rpm normal for 80mph on 06 coupe Automatic? For those of you other 06 owners, could you let me know what RPM its at when going 80mph...thanks

are u sure?? 80mph should be around 3K rpm unless the new 06 has 3.5 final drive now bc my 80mph is at 3.2K with the manual final drive.

i was asking, cuz it seems mine is doing 3200. i THOUGHT when i first got it, it was at 3000rpm at 80mph, so i was checking what fellow 06 AT owners said.. didn't know if it was normal...wat do you mean by final drive?

Question

I would think that's about right. The AT only has 5 gears.

My 6MT usually hits 3K or (very) slightly under around 80mph

That is why I'm asking if the 06 had a 3.5 final drive instead of the 3.3 final drive in the previous yrs. The only way for the rpm to increase is if they swap it out with a manual pumpkin instead of the AT pumpkin from 03-05.

My 2003 5AT is only ~2800-2900RPM @ 80MPH. Why so different?

the higher the rpm the faster acceleration thats why. Why do u think AT ppl want to trader their pumpkin for MT pumpkins???

Really?.....how so? Installing grounding wires lowered my RPM's.....does that mean installing them makes your car slower!?
