Trouble with the automatic window seal
Two days ago I closed the G's door and nothing happened, the window did not rolled up. I open it and close again... nothing, I do it again the window rolled up.
I thought "fine it probably is just a glitch" Last night same thing. Open, close, open, close... nothing. I get in the car closed the door and manually (with the switch) roll the window up. I get out close the door and it went up. Today the windows where working fine. Has anybody had any trouble with this system?? I heard that some Z's were having this problem but never heard about it with the G.
Any ideas on why this happened??
I'm taking it to the dealer for the 1,000 mile check and I'm gonna mention it but the odds of it happening in the dealer are very slim, I can feel it.

Re: Trouble with the automatic window seal
gtorres44, Yes there have been a couple of complaints like yours. Only thing I can suggest is to make sure the window is all the way up b4 closing the door. If it's down even slightly, the window won't go up that final quarter inch.
Other than that, it means that the regulator mechanism is malfunctioning and needs service. G/L

Re: Trouble with the automatic window seal
That same thing happened to me once before. I tried opening and closing the door (gently, of course) and that didn't work. So I got in, turned the car on, lowered the window all the way and raised it back up. Then I got out and it has been working fine ever since. It's funny how we're so crazy about our cars that we will notice the little window not doing its traditional 1/2" roll-up every time we close the door. =)
Btw, we have a 1,000 mile service check? I was told our first service check is at 3,750 miles.

Re: Trouble with the automatic window seal
I have a lot of experience lately with these damn windows.......long story...surrfice to say that my alarm options and add-ons caused some Headaches....get a screwdriver and unscrew the door closure sensors from both the passenger and driver's side doors....take the clip apart and the reconnect firmly...screw them back in and see if that does the trick. Good luck.

Re: Trouble with the automatic window seal
Well... got back from the 1,000 mile check up (yes Areddy14, there is one. It's in the little maintanace book they gave us) and talked to the service guy. He said that he hadn't heard of anybody complaining about the window that if it happened again and if the problem could be duplicated (it could not be duplicated at the dealer, Surprise, surprised!!!) to take it to the dealer and they would check it out. Since my G has been behaving and everything's ok I'm gonna file as a "glitch"... again.
Thanx for the help guys
