Burning smell w/ heat on

I've been noticing on my 05 6mt cpe, everytime the heat is on (auto temp - 67), I smell this burning odor - its almost as bad as a clutch burning smell, but not quite that bad. I'm definitely not burning up the clutch either. Just wondering if anyone has encountered that on this forum?

thanks

I have an 03 auto trans, i have the same smell. tried to get the dealer to locate it and of course they couldnt find anything. It happens when the car has been driven for about 20 minutes.

Had/have the same issue with my 5AT. I had the dealer check it out and all they did was spray it with some deodorizer. Then they told me that I might benefit from a new filter.

i just noticed the heat burning smell last night when i put the temp up to 74, and it eventually went away or i got use to it....

there is also a burning smell in the front end of the car each time i'm finish driving.....at first i thought it was just the spray coating on the underbody, but its been a year and i still smell it....its 6mt and i'm sure its not the clutch...

Mine's an 05 Coupe 6mt and same situation here. This shouldn't be a common problem and its starting to annoy me.

If they say that's normal, then I say to them, go to hell.

guys the smell comes from the engine bay. And everyone gets it because the a/c is on "fresh" put it on "recycle" and it the smell will go away... very annoying though!!
