2004 Auto 23,000 miles. 4th set of tires, and rattles galore.

 

2007 coupe, 2800 miles, no issues

 

Update at 23K mi.
- oil consumption back down to 1qt/2500mi since 15K and steady.
- still rattle/clunking noise in back. Lowered on Cuscos, but still wtf!
- trunk lid squeaks when opening....WD40 never squeaked again.
- bluetooth system...still pos. Only hears your commands when IT wants too. Useless for making outgoing calls, incoming it works okay.
- sunroof squeaks when opening/closing...fixed with silicon lub on rubber gasket.
- gearbox notchy 1st-2nd only when cold. Much less now with running Amsoil.
- suspect throw-out bearing noise in neutral only when cold. Much less now and hardly notice it.

New stuff since 11K to 23K:
- interior map light bulb burned out...warranty.
- drivers window regulator needed adjusting...warranty.
- knocks/pings real bad on hot days while in low rpm range on take offs.
- Tranny has slight whine that correlates with rpms. Sounds like mild SC ...lol.

Some of that sounds like maintenance, not problematic IMO.

-Cleaned floor mats, dirty for some reason.
-Had to wash the car yet again, so dirty.

 

2005/6MT/22,500:

1) Tire Feathering
2) Tranny grinds in 1 to 2 and 2 to 3 (synchros I think)
3) Brakes squeek when cold (all I have to do is pump them a few times and theyre ok)
4) Rattles (Ugh!)
5) Weird sudden engine vibrations when at idle in neutral (Im kinda freaking out about that I gotta take it in)
6) Soft Paint

All that aside i still love my G!

 

'04 Coupe/ 17500 / Brake pads gone at 10K miles and tons of dust...replaced
them myself with Hawk HP pads...end of problems.
