Whenever I use the tilt feature on my sunroof, I hear a weird noise coming from the tilt mechanism. I'm not sure if that is normal or if its something I should get checked out. Let me know if anyone else has the experience.

 

guess they never fixed the issue............it happends on 03-06............jst got to take it to the dealership and have them fix it..........but then it happends again a few months later

 

I don't think the dealer can fix this problem. I have the same noise, mainly when I go into the driveway or somewhere uneven.

 

I just clean the rubber trim with a little bit of wd-40, wipe of with a damp cloth, and apply silicone based lube to it. Also wipe (with a damp cloth) the metal where it comes in contact with the rubber trim. It last 4-5 months that way.

 

Are you talking about the noise caused by the plastic accordian section on the sides expanding? If so, I thought that was normal! Hmm, I may try putting some seal conditioner on it and seeing if it goes away.
