I was googling sites for g35's, and I came across a mustang gt forum, with a thread start by this guy that got spanked by his buddy's G.

It amusing to read how grossly confused this ford drivers are about skylines.

Heck, I was confused after I finish reading it...was it Nissan Skyline or its Infiniti Skyline? so Skyline is lightly modded G35?

At first I was thinking he was just a crappy driver with a manual and thats why he lost to a G35 badged as skyline. 99-04 GTs run around 14.0 1/4 miles and lots of good manual drivers easily can do 13.8-13.9 with a cold air, exhaust, and decent tires. So its a drivers race between a 280 hp g35 and a 260hp GT. BUT somehwere on the 3rd or 4th page somebody posted a pic of a JDM r34 gtr and the guy who got beat says " thats the same exact car my buddy has " . So unless he is completely blind, he had a run in with one of the rare imported GTRs and I am not surprised he lost that battle.

 

IMHO there is nothing like seeing the look on their faces when you spank one! Thats one of my favorite parts about driving a G! The stock Mustangs and Camaro's have no idea about the VQ and what it will do bone stock. Sure they can spend a grand and kick our a$$es but it's all the guys that don't know any better that are so much fun! Good find!

 

He was probably thinking about the GT-R Z-tune when he talked about 600 hp. They do come stock 500 hp and 400 ft-lbs.

 

Tru dat. It was also priced at around 100,000 as far as I remember.

 

I don't know jack about the Mustangs either so I am in no position to diss their lack of knowledge on the Skyline/G35. Last I checked Ford have their own version of "GT-R" for the Mustangs, maybe that's why I see some Mustangs running around with the ricer GT-R badge on.

jajajajaja - those guys of mustang should go to school and first learn to drive a Mustang Horse before attemping to drive a car. jajajaja

once i have a Acura integra 88 with lots of mods but without turbo or nitrous and race a mustang GT 2002 up to 142 MPh ( mine stock and before mods was doing 112 mph ) and i smoke him at that speed he was so impressed that he didnt beleive my car did not was Nos or FI. I smile at him and i said, sorry man, go home and change it for a Go-kart. jajajajaja

 

I dont think you are any more ignorant than some of the guys on that mustang forum. Given any amount of money you can make a VW Beetle outperform a porsche. You obviously have no idea what a mustang is capable of.
