Poll - FUEL SYSTEM RECALL

I'm very concern about the amount of disassemble/re-assembly necessary to complete the subject recall. I'm still hesitating on whether I'll have the work done or not. My G35 is a 2003 that has been running trouble free for the last 3 years. Since I do not trust the mechanics, I'm doubtful that they will do the work without causing other problems. For those that had the recall work done, I would like to know if there was any problems afterwards...

I'm not sure if this recall has been performed yet. When I called my dealer earlier this month they said they will start taking care of this only at the end of the month as they are ordering all the parts needed and are not ready to start this yet.

G35 Coupes and Sedans that were built late 2002 to late 2003. I think it may also apply to 350Zs built in that timeframe.

I will wait until they practice on some other poor souls before I let them pull apart my car! and I may still not take my car in!

what's bad is I work at a dealership, granted not a Infiniti Dealership and I do not know if I trust them enough. It is crazy, these guys go through A TON of training, all bs aside they are really good. But the do not care most of the time it seems. If they can cut corners they do. But it seems like everyone does anymore. It is hard to find someone that will treat your car with as much care as you do. Why is that? Even hard core car lovers seem to take better care of theirs than they would yours. I just don't understand that. I treat everyone the way I would want to be treated and I know I am not the only one out there that does this, but we are far and inbetween...aren't we.

But I agree let me practice on some then I will do it. I hate trying to fill up and it only putting in a 1/4 gallon the popping off. It drives me insane. I am glad that there is a recall on it, I swore it was the amaco station that I went to. I always use the same pump for some reason, you'd think I would change pumps.

that's an entirely separate issue NOT related to this recall
