Almost Ordered Black/Graphite

but decided on Silver/Willow, Premium, Performance Wheels. Should be in within 10 days.

I have an Acura TLS (which will go to my wife - we'll get rid of her van). If any of you have hung out at any Acura boards, you'll recognize my nic.

Hey Lawman welcome to the board. By your alias I take it you are one of our boys in Blue like Ghom923. Don't forget to post pics when you have them.

Well I'm on the side of truth and justice. As much as I respect the thin blue line, I happen to be a criminal defense attorney.

Re: Almost Ordered Black/Graphite

I like black. My TLS is black. I was going to have to wait like 3 months for the Black. I found out they had a silver coming in that wasn't spoken for and changed my mind.

Re: Almost Ordered Black/Graphite

I hear you on the colour choice. My new Coupe is D/G which makes me a little nervous because I've driven Reds for about 20 yrs. I'm hoping the change won't be too traumatic. If it is there's a guy in California (Andrew I think his name is) would gladly take it off my hands..
Good luck with your B/S.................

Re: Almost Ordered Black/Graphite

Gsedanman (in Coupe's clothing) here, hahaha. Love the 'ride'
Now all I need is some warmer weather. Going to spend a little while 'personalizing' my baby, (just so she know's she's mine) , perhaps a couple coats of Zaino, maybe a small scratch just to get that over with early......little stuff, hahaha
I see you've moved the delivery up to mid Jan. cool. Guess they had a cancellation-- good for you.
Can't tell you much on mine...only 10 miles when delivered,
now 20 (drove home in flurries with the Michelin Pilots)
Will change to snows ASAP, right now I'm basking in the 'glow' and 'exploring' , along with trying to catch up on sleep. hahaha.
Will post with pics as soon as my Canon Elph comes in- this car is a honey.......
Keep us posted on your developments........Later

Re: Almost Ordered Black/Graphite

Cold weather sucks. Move down here! All year long enjoyment of the coupe :P But actually, bad news, (it's kinda good news too) is that my coupe won't be coming til MArch now. Good news is that Down Payment just gets larger and larger. The smaller the payments the better. But, I was just at the dealer because they called me about a CB/Willow 6MT with premium, thought I might be interested (I'm not, definitely want graphite) but man, I sat in it for like 30 mins. Even got to turn it on and rev the engine!

Re: Almost Ordered Black/Graphite

Man I'm tempted to f-off out of this crap. If it weren't for .......well you know= Strings. Ppl say they like the season changes and snow and blah blah blah. I think they're off their rocker. I've been to most of Fl (although I prefer the Gulf side) many times because it's closer than the west coast.(about 20hrs. to the Fl/Ga border).
I'll tell ya right now I feel like taking off just to get some 'wheel' time with my new sweetheart. Man I love this car. I need some 'reprogramming myself: I was driving my Coupe in Manumatic Mode - tooling along in town about 35MPH, came to a traffic light and stopped. Now in the Sedan when I did that the selector stayed in 3M right? but not the Coupe, so when I take off it's in 1M !!!!!!!! and I don't realize this . The tach goes up (to about 3k) no shift, I thought well it's new maybe it's not 'settled' yet, tach goes to 4k no shift, (I'm not horsing it so I just keep going to see what happens) 5k and no shift----WTF---- I left this SOB in 3M- right then I looked down and it's in 1M!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just about smudged my leather seat...... That's when it dawned on me that the Coupe's A/T has changed> as you slow then so the tranny and Indicator goes down and down too all the way to 1 if you stop. When I finally shifted the tach said about 6500- almost ready to have a 'hissy fit' and 'chug' . It didn't but it must have been that close. I was only accelerating at 1/4 throttle so I wasn't too worried. Had I been bootin' it, well I probly would have hit the R/Limiter for a few seconds. I chuckled after . It was a cheap lesson. And yes I usually read the manual cover to cover as I did with the Sedan Twice!! Didn't bother this time.
One observation b4 I stop running on here> The belt driven declutching fan that I had on the Sedan (along with 1 electric fan) now has been changed to no belt driven fan and 2 electric fans...That's a new one. Don't think anyone noticed that yet or maybe I missed the post. :P) On the air intake horn ( the long extension that runs accross toward the passenger side , It's about 12" X 1"- well now there's a support in the middle where none was on my Sedan. Had to put a nail in there to keep it properly apart.:P) Put my K&N in (from Sedan). That's still a royal pain in the ASSets. Still have to almost dismantle the whole inlet to access it. At least this time I didn't drop my screwdriver down onto the engine cover.
Gotta go. Haven't posted much today. Been fartin' with my new ELPH digital so's I can post some pics soon. Neat little camera.
March eh. Just think how good it's gonna taste by then hahaha. (Unless you jump in now and get the CB) Tough choise: CB now but less D/P, D/G in March and more D/P. I don't like to see anyone go without but if it were my call, I'd wait 'till March if for nothing else than just the colour. D/G is DA BOMB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Later

Oh no, I want CB, just not willow interior. Go for a drive down south this weekend! Why not? Bet you'd have fun.

Re: Almost Ordered Black/Graphite

Hey Stewart, I get it now: CB/Graphite interior. My Bad. It's surprising what I can learn if I actually read the posts properly.. (appologies). Don't blame you for not wanting 'willow'. Too light for my tastes. And, in my eyes, blue and green don't mix.
Go for a drive this weekend you say. Sounds 'Idyllic'. I've been tempted for weeks, but RamboRami is concerned about my driving ability. I'd better stay put and let things 'settle'. Gotta a ton of stuff to do anyhow........later.........

Re: Almost Ordered Black/Graphite

How about Ya RamboRami...Redlining at 10 miles! That's pretty bad isn't it? The irony is that I used to look down my nose at the ones that didn't bother with the owner's manual. HA. what a dope.
"Ya gotta make her 'sweat' once in a while.right? May as well be your first night together."LOL
She loved it.
