Tranny Problem? Good Input Needed

I have had this little problem with the car since Day 1. Everytime I let the car rev back down on its own from anywhere above 3500 rpm's I can feel the shifter shaking like its coming from the tranny. I leave my hand on the shifter and it feels like the tranny's about to fall off or like the it wanst to come out of gear. I've felt this before on another car which had an auto transmission replaced and the mechanic said that it was because teh tranny hasnt been used and was getting used to be being used. Ok that took like 1 week and it stopped. Ive had thius G for a yr now! Does anyone know what I'm talking about? It feels like the transmission is shaking and you can feel it on the **** when it revs down. If anyone has any input please let me know. I've had them assess the car 2 months into my ownership and they said they couldnt find any problems (not surprised). I am bringing the car in for its 12 month service and I want to address this to the dealership.

Thanks.

I think it's normal since the shifter is directly connected to the tranmission. This is why our shifter shakes so much.

You had a front wheel drive before right? You can't feeel this through the cables that the shifter connects to the trans with in a front wheel drive car, this is the way things are when your shifter is actually part of the transmission.. Think about all that is going on inside of there man!

These are examples of a FWD setup; you can see why you feel little and some people say they are so smoothe:

The trans:

Connected to you by this:

Below is an example of a true RWD transmission setup; notice it is all one piece of machinery;this is the only right way to do it :

NOTE: the shifter is a working part bolted solid to the transmission which is bolted solid to your engine; you will feel everything and that is the way it was all meant to be:

Thanks for the info guys. Yes, I used to drive FWD. It was very smooth. So I guess this is ok then.

I just voiced the same concern in a thread last week or so ago...

https://g35driver.com/forums/g35-coupe-v35-2003-07/91015-05-6mt-tranny-shudder-2800-rpms.html

and another post explaining (similar to htownboy but more descript) differences...

https://g35driver.com/forums/showthr...04#post1037304

But you are right, the shudder feels odd. I've NEVER had a RWD manual transmission car that felt like this. The only explanation for it is that something is amiss in the design of the internals.
