Our car in the MOVIES!!!!
Our car in the MOVIES!!!!
We had a thread awhile back about this...
I know it is disgraceful but I never was able to see 2 Fast 2 Furious, but tonight I watched the first part of the movie on my computer and
Damn.. The main car is a JDM Import Nissan Skyline
"the japanese version of our coupe"
That "Brian O'Connor" character drives it
It's an older model, but who gives a crap!
That's the ****
Anyone else seen some movie with our ride in it?
Peace

Re: Our car in the MOVIES!!!!
The r34 gt-r and our g35 are in no way alike. They just carry the same "skyline" name. Two totally different cars.

Re: Our car in the MOVIES!!!!
they are not totally different man...they share much of the suspension setup, "zero-lift" technology setup, just no AWD/4wheel steering and no turbos
(diff engine too heh)
I believe the trannies are similar, but then again nissan doesnt design those themselves..... (Getrag does both cars)

Re: Our car in the MOVIES!!!!
Still blows me away, the number of G owners who know nothing of the Skyline past. In Japan, the Skyline 350GT is the 11th generation of Skyline, also referred to as the V35. The Skyline lineage is legendary. I know many of you know this already... but it never ceases to amaze me the number of people who don't have a clue.
Check out this link and educate yourselves (site is in Japanese, but you can use babelfish or something like that if you need a rough translation... or just look at the pics...)

now the 280ZX turbo was a sweet ride and it was light, All you need to do was put a 300Z turbo in it and you got a nice car and if you could and had the cash put a RB motor in it.
Re: Our car in the MOVIES!!!!

Also over on freshalloy and some other boards there are several people with RB series engines in the 240-280 series Z's I would LOVE to have one of those as a daily driver. Quite possibly an old school supercar!
The RX has left the building, I have been driving the G for about 6 weeks!!!!
