Taking advantage of a Dealer Wash

Anyone takes advantage of this. Its totally free, and you don't have to have work done on your car aside from the wash. At least it is, at the Cerritos Infiniti.

It rained a few days here in Cali, so I'll get it wash at the dealer either today or Friday on my lunch break, so it could look decent for the weekend, then do my regular wash on Sunday.

Everytime I get a dealer wash I get more scratches too. For me its not worth it. I always tell them to pass on the wash.

+1... they always find someway to screw something up. then when u point out the scratches they simply tell u they were there when u dropped the car off. no thanks.

No. Never. I didn't even let them clean the car when I bought it new. I wouldn't even let them take the sticker out of the window.

It is part of all the Infiniti Dealers package. BUT, most peeps I know tell them not to wash it (myself included) because as some of the others above said you leave there with swirl marks etc.

You sure about the one in Cerritos? I went in to buy a bra and asked them if they could wash it before I put it on. The service mgr said they couldn't unless some sort of job was done to it due to insurance liability issues. Like what if they scratched your ryde during the wash? But hey if they do it, more power to you!

I had my first 3750k oil change done there. And they washed it. So I came back the following week to get it wash and they did it for free. It seems just as long you don't abuse it and come in like every other day or something. The tires where still dirty, but they did a okay job overall, wasn't asking for the car to be detailed.

The only thing I didn't like was the buzzards charge me for the first oil change. Gave some lame excuse like if I had bought it there, it would have been free.

i will NEVER let them wash my car again.. they always end up leaving scratches and swirl marks, and it is ME, who has to spend countless hours trying to get rid of them.

Keep that wash monkey away from my G...........

They'll wash your G for you if you want the followiing
1. Water spots baked into your clearcoat
2. Scratches because they use the same mit on all
their vehicles.
3. They never clean your interior so, you don't really
have a clean car. (it's just half a**)
The last time I let an agency wash my car was my 300
ZX and the dumb $hit locked my keys in the car. I
ended up driving 14 miles to my wifes store to get
her set of keys to open my car. It just isn't
worth the aggrivation!!

Luckily in Houston we get 2 yr/24,000 mile scheduled service free from the selling dealer

I had them wash my car once and NEVER again after that. I had a few small scratches after it. I swear they cleaned my interior windows with a rag because there was lil scratches on my tint. I only use microfiber cloths on ext and int for that very reason.

Just Say NO!!!
