Hi all, I've just defected from My350Z.com and switched my order from a loaded touring 350Z to a G35C 6MT and I have a question I hope can be addressed before my order officially goes in. I have not heard of any of these options, save for the standard aero package that includes the rear deck spoiler and underbody diffusers. One of the options sounds like a full body kit with the "unique front spoiler", side sills and all. Can someone shed some light on this for me?

Sorry, I'm not that familiar with the option packages in the U.S. but by the looks of the thread you gave (8684 etc,) on this forum, the 2 posters --namely 'peilien' & 'G35C-Jan 2003' seem to know.

Welcome. Edited for some typos, hope you don't mind. One of the coupe guys should be able to answer your question. Have not looked much into the coupe myself since I would not be ready for one until 2004.

The way it works on the sedan (and I believe it's the same with the coupe) is the Aero Package provides you with the lower coefficient of drag (by 0.01) and zero rear lift. The Aerodynamic Body Kit is ground effects eye candy. Since the Aero Package comes with the spoiler, there are two Aerodynamic Body Kits... one with and one without the spoiler.

 

That's just it, from what I see on Infiniti's web site and when I ordered the car, there is only one aero package available; the one with the rear spoiler and underpinnings. I'm not sure either of the posters in that thread know what their talking about unless the whole thing unintentionally got posted here instead of the sedan section. I wish there were other options; I would like the underbody peices, but not the spoiler (I'm waiting for a more subtle and stylized lip spoiler if anyone knows of any...). I'd also like to see what Nismo has in store...

there's only 1 aero kit and thats the spoiler+underbody defuser
there is no word yet as to if infiniti or nismo will offer one, there probably wont be much demand until the car actually comes out in japan

 

Any idea if the underbody diffusers are worth putting on? My A/T Coupe (in Canada) came without aero package (only available on 6M/T) but was wondering if the diffusers are available for the Coupe and if they're different from the one's on the Sedan?

My A/T Coupe came without as well. According to the dealer, the Aero package is available, which I ordered. Unfortunately, I received a call yesterday indicated that it is back ordered from the mfg until March. The dealer stated that the coupe spoiler is different than the sedan.

 

defusers are useless unless you are exceeding speeds of 120mph

 

Ok let me clear this up for ya'll.

According to information at freshalloy (from Japan and from US dealer), there will be a coupe aero KIT available sometime in January. It will be port installed.

There is a difference between the Aero package and the Aero kit. On infiniti.com, you can see an aero kit available for the sedan which replaced the front bumber and adds moulded side sills. A similar kit will be available for the coupe directly from Infiniti but will be considerably cheaper since it will involve an add-on to the front bumper instead of a total replacement.

Go to fresh alloy and do some searches if you want more info.
