Hello all

I'm new to the G35c family, I have about 650 miles on the car that I waited for 5 months to get.

Some things I have noticed since I picked up.

1. Real bad rattle in passanger side door thinks it's the speaker drives me nuts going into the dealer to fix.

2. this is my big worry or problem if I take off like a bat out of hell, go from 1st gear to 2nd the car seems like it wants to die, suffering from air intake or what. It bogs down then slowly will take off. I'm shifting at about 5000 rpms from 1st gear to second gear.

I thought you could rapid shift this car but when it seems it's going to die something is wrong any suggestions.

Thanks Aaron

the rattle you are hearing on the door might just be the passenger seatbelt positoner banging against the window. that was the problem with my car.....

Also, with only 650 miles, ever heard of the break-in period? You shouldn't be getting on it like a bat out of hell yet.

Thanks for the feed back I wouldn't say I'm driving like a bat at of hell 5000 rpms not much I would say I haven't gone over 5000rpms yet on the car.

I did take it in today they fixed the rattle was in the door near the speaker they had to add foam near the speaker they said.

I did ask about the shifting problem the tech said if the wheels start to slip it will bog down till it grips. All in all he said turn off the VDC and it wont do it. I will try this and let you guys know. Makes since the way he put it.

Screw that, drive it as hard as you can. I redlined it first shift coming out of the dealership, and just about every other shift up to 7,000 miles and shes holding up perfect. Same thing Ive done with my 997 carrera s and our race cars. My theory is that its better to get on them when they are new. Gets everything nicely seated.

ya the whole pointof the VCD is to kill throttle when the car detects a traction loss helping you keep controll of the vehicle. i turn mine off and i can lite em up like nothin . with it on i couldnt now matter how hard i try. its realy a nice featre for driving in poor weather. ohh and its good to everyone once in a while open her up past redline for a few seconds helps clean out all the carbon buildup inside the engine as well as helps it seat a lil better and slightly streches the the valves thus adding a minute bit of power. very minute. thus condtioning your car slightly to take a lil more abuse. but remeber everything in moderation. n good luk!
