Can you lower the clutch pedal???

Hi everyone,
I currently drive 04 G35 Coupe (premium package) and I noticed that my clutch pedal is much higher than my friend's 05 G35 Coupe (sport package). It's about 5 inch higher than my friend's. I bought a used one from the dealership. Is it normal? Is it possible I can lower the clutch pedal? Thanks for answering!!

Here's the instructions

but the topic is controversial - for example, some claim that as you lower the clutch pedal you start putting excess wear on flywheel since the clutch never disengages completely.

Thanks Alex White
By the way, is it normal for the premium package that the clutch is higher than the sport package?

Another question is, will the dealship do this service for me? ( for free ?)

I think you can complain at the dealership that the pedal travel is too long and see if they'll do anything about it. As far as packages concerned: if you get MT you get sports package automatically, so package itself has nothing to do with the issue and although I never driven 05 manual, but I know that 04 and 05 G35-s had different clutches, that probably explains why the pedal travels are different.
