Navigation Screen

Does anybody know if there is a way to purchase the kit to set up the official Infiniti G35c Navigation screen alone and not the DVD based navigation unit? I did not order Navigation since I never use it, but I would still love to have that pop up monitor in my center console. Would I be able to purchase it from Infiniti or Nissan dealer?

Thanks a lot

Re: Navigation Screen

I doubt it because the entire Nav System is a factory installed option. It's possible the could order it but there may be a bunch of wiring that needed to be done at the factory.

Re: Navigation Screen

infinittparts.net quoted me $6400... and that does not mean your definately get everything you need.... so when put in simpler terms: not worth it....

Re: Navigation Screen

How come it's so much more expensive when you're ordering the parts seperately???

Re: Navigation Screen

I am aware of that. But how can parts alone cost so much more than getting the entire system installed? Parts cost $6400 whereas if I get it as a factory installment it's only $2000? I do not understand this concept...

Thanks

Re: Navigation Screen

In that case...

Does anybody know any nice LCD monitors that I can hook up to my G35coupe for a reasonable price(let's say around $2K)? I'm new to this kinda thing so I have no idea where I'm going. I want to keep my interior simple, without any wires or other parts hanging out. I'm hoping to find a nice pop-up, pop-out, fold out or anything along the lines of that. Anybody with any recommendations?

Thanks a bunch

Re: Navigation Screen

I'm in Pittsburgh PA. I'd like to remind you again that I would like to try to keep the interior as plain and simple as possible. Pop ups, pop outs, fold outs are primarly what i'm looking for. Thank you

Re: Navigation Screen

Go to any good car audio shop (I'm assuming there are some good ones in A big city like Pitt). And ask for a custom estimate and what screens they have and what you would like done. I'm sure you could get something for well under 2k

Re: Navigation Screen

Actually there aren't too many good car audio shops around here. Or not that I know of. Maybe this is because I'm new to this kinda thing... Do I need to search for a specific store name? The only places I've seen car audios are Best Buys and Circuit City. Those aren't considered a good car audio shops right?

Re: Navigation Screen

Well, you could go in and see. They might or might not have them. Look up Car Audio components in the Yellows.
