Heading up to the freeway with my red 5AT I saw a black boxster convertible who had been wiggling around traffic. I decided to catch up to him and see how fast his car really was. It was a 30-40 year old cocky face guy and he smiled at me when we stopped at the light before we head up to the freeway. He started to rev at me and I did as well at 2600 rpm I dropped from N to D and at green we both went at it. I quicky took a 1 car lead on him out of the gate and by the time I reached 70to 75 mph I was ahead of him by 2to3 cars and when I saw him again later on the freeway he smiled to me and said damm your car is fast.
good job killing that boxster..
yeah, i've ran into a bunch of boxster drivers and damn they're a cocky bunch.. they swerve in and out thinkin they're the $hit.. the base model should not be any trouble, but the S can still give us a run (not that good), but like i always say, depends on the drivers..

does revving in N and shifting to D make better launch??
is that similar to prake torquing?

Boxster S does 0-60 in 5.7 seconds (manual) so it will beat a G35C 5AT. Boxster does 0-60 in 6.4 seconds (manual) so it will not beat any G35C.
Dropping it into D fron N at a certain rpm is just bad for the car...I think you're better off with brake torque start.

I smoked a boxter s on the nj parkway a while back, from about 60 to 120, it was pretty fast, but I pulled on him about 2 cars. Maybe the guy was a shitty driver. Regular boxter aing got nothing on us,.
