I just purchased my guards, can't wait to get them on. The dealer only had the rears, so I have to wait till Friday to get the front splash guards.

Could I install it by myself or should I get someone to do it. The dealer is charging a $100 a pop, that’s $25 per corner, to install them. I thought that was a little pricey. I probably will end up paying them to do it if I can't find someone to do the work. I'm in SoCal btw.

very easy... you only have to drill like 2 holes per splash guard! Take your time though... you dont want them to come out crooked

I have an 06 and had to put them on myself the other day. It was very easy, the hardest part was taking off the two rear tires and putting them back on. You have to drill 4 holes--two fronts and two rears--to fix the bottom push pins in. Tip: The adhesive tape sucks so only pull off the tape covers at the very last minute; if you pull them off and let them oxidize for a sec it will not stick. Also make sure you wash your car that day and make sure those areas are very clean. The instructions will tell you to even use alcohol to clean it, I didn't.

the front mud guard did not fit with my 06.......I only installed the rear.....

You probably purchased the front splash guards for an 06 without the sport package. There are new splashs guards available that have been redesigned for an 06 With sport package. A lot of parts departments at the Infiniti dealerships are not aware of it yet. just did mine too - real easy. you'll need a drill and some bits, that's about it. remember its a good idea to use a torque wrench to tighten the wheel lugs if you have one.

how much did you all pay for the guards. Ive seen anywhere from 140 on ebay to 175 at the dealer.

I paid $144.50 + tax at the dealership. I got a discount because I bought my car there.

I know that Chad was selling them for $156 on the forum- I wound up getting mine for free; negotiated them as part of the deal when I picked up my coupe a month ago. I get to pick them up tomorrow, finally- install tomorrow night!

can u put on the rears w/out taking off the wheels?

Do you need to remove the wheels to install splas guards on the 03-05 models too?

I installed the '06 splashguards a couple of weekends ago and noticed that the fit is not as good as it was on my brother's '05 Coupe splashguards. The rears fit perfectly, but the fronts left a bit of a gap on both sides. I tried to put down some 3M trim adhesive and that stuff wouldn't hold and ripped the paint off my car!!!

Anyways, I replaced it with some additional 3M tape, but the fit is still not as good as the previous model's splashguards. Now I have touch up paint all over the splashguard areas on my otherwise immaculate car!

As for ease of installation, yeah, it was pretty easy. You definitely do NOT have to remove the front wheels for the fronts. Just turn the wheel to the other side and have a stubby screwdriver handy.

The rears could be done with the wheels on, but I found it SOOOOOO much easier to just remove them. You have to drill holes for all of the guards, but it's only through very soft plastic.

Yes you have to take the rears off to drill the screw them on. The fronts are easy because you can turn the wheels.
