I bought the extended warranty when I bought my car. It's been only 8months so I can't really say it was worth it....yet. Eh, it doesn't hurt.

I've had great luck with my Infinitis and don't drive hard, so I didn't bother buying the extended warranty.

I would not consider owning this car without the extended warranty. I'm either going to sell it, or buy the warranty when the time comes.

How much was it to replace the seat switches? Was it hard to replace them yourself? If most of the fixes can be done with a DIY i'd probably forget about getting the extended warranty; however, if anyone has ever had major work done then i'd really consider getting it for the next 36K miles. I'm gonna call around and ask for some dealer quotes and information for anyone that is also interested in getting an extended warranty or just wants to know about. I will post my findings later this week.

Since the poll results are just about 50/50 i'm still stuck in the middle of my decision. Right now I'm kind of leaning towards NOT getting the warranty since no one has really posted any major fixes that needed to be done. It seems like the cost of the little fixes that I may encounter would still be less than cost of the extended warranty. I might just use the money on some new rims instead....

Here's a basic quote.... Takes affect after 60k miles or when warranty expires. Auto-Tranny's are covered.. They should last the life of the car and are not consumable like a clutch would be...
On average you will not ever exceed the cost of the warranty in repairs, but it only takes 2 major repairs on this car to go over... I'm probably not going to buy an extended warranty at this point.

Miles=Total miliage.
Years= From today...

Beowulf - Do you have more specific details on what the packages cover? MajorCare, LuxuryCare Plus, SecureCare Plus, and PowerWrap Plus are pretty generic marketing speak. If you don't want to type out all the definitions, can you just post the link? Thanks

LOL, yeah which one of those actually covers everything that the original warranty did? If it can be had for 1000 bucks or so then I would absolutely buy it but only if you anticipate keeping the car that long.
