HELP Everyone: Was I just scammed?

Please refer to this link in the audio classifieds:https://g35driver.com/forums/archived-sales/96906-pioneer-avic-d1.html

Screen Name: IPGTHREEFIVE
Real Name: Dustin Bradshaw
Home # 845-xxx-xxxx
Cell # 845-xxx-xxxx

Posted a Pioneer AVIC-D1 for sale and paid him 4/28. He said he was going to send this out on Friday (4/28). Called him on Saturday (4/29) and he said he didn't sent it out on Friday but he'll do it Saturday and he'll PM me the tracking number.

It's now Monday (5/1) and no replies. I've sent numerous PMs and no replies. I've left messages on his cell and home number, guess what, no replies.

Did I get scammed? Does anyone know Dustin? I think he lives in Sullivan County, New York.

Dustin, If you're reading this, please PM me that you're owning up to your sale. I don't want to waste my time trying to get my money back since you said your reputation is good. If I have to, I'll file the paper work to get my money back.

I'm not here to smear anyone.

If anyone can help me, please PM me.

Thanks

yeah give it some time. Maybe he wasnt able to ship on weekend. Fedex and UPS closed on weekends. Unless he shipped via USPS mail.

its way too early to be thinking that. Maybe he had to do something on Sat and sunday theres no mail. Did he read your private messages? You check if he read those or not.

He specifically said USPS priority mail. I will give him the benefit of the doubt but he could or should respond to my PMs or return my calls. I know he online so he's checking his PMs.

I just need assurance that this is a legit transaction.

I wouldn't get too excited quite yet. I haven't dealt with Dustin, but it looks like he's had several transactions with other members of the forum. Heck, he even initiated a "Buyer Beware" post about a vendor.

We're always a little nervous about sending $$$ to someone we don't know, but this guy isn't that late....yet. Probably just had some problems over the weekend. I'm sure he'll catch up with you.

Good Luck!

Yeah, give it some time, especially when a weekend is involved, a couple of days might go by without anything like others have posted.

But seriously, the sellers gotta step it up. This kind of story is too common place. Sellers will be doing the same if they shipped the product and recieved no payment. Once the money is sent, the power is in the seller's hands. It is a business transaction... you have the money, do something. At least keep the buyers informed so they don't stress about if they've been scammed.

But definitely, don't panic. Give it a couple of more days and keep trying to get in touch with him, he'll probably get back to you soon. You have options which ever way this goes.

BTW, not cool to post someone's private numbers up. Wait until you're pretty sure you've been had... then all's fair.

Relax, people are lazy or don't really want to make time to go to the post office. He'll respond after he sends it out. He just doesn't want to say "Well, I still havn't sent it out yet".

Only way is if Calvin mans up and tells paypal he was wrong and that I wasn't trying to scam him. But due to not having $700 in my paypal account the missing balance will go to collections and if it does go to collections I will be filing criminal charges against calvin
