what makes the 350z that much faster than the G? my friends 03 pulled a car on me. i know weight has somethin to do with it. what could i do or better yet, waht could i take out to make the G noticably lighter and/or as light at the Z?

Maybe the driver? Never heard of a Z being much faster unless its modded. They are basically identical (nothing too significant). It has to be the driver...too many people mix a car's performance with a driver's experience.

Around 545lb difference in weight. That would slow a G down.

Actually I thought it was only around 250lb difference. However when I check Edmunds, it states 350z at 3815 and G35 at 4360.

My bad, was reading gross weight. 350z is 3225 and G35 at 3435. So only 210lb difference.

so thats like, what a 20hp loss(10lbs=-1hp). so basically it would be equal to racing a 310ish hp car rather than a 290ish car.hmm. so what weight reduction can i do?

i was actually thinkin of gettin bluebats Z cause that thing is badass, then put a TN single on there. but idk if i want to go Z.

Take out spare and all the tools, remove passengers seat, remove back seat(top and bottom), remove door panels, remove rear panel, pretty much remove everything that is not needed to drive the car
