Very Strange Problem Today

So this morning im doing my usual drive and i come to a stop at a light. And all of the sudden i feel a slight jerk as if i was shifting in mm mode, and i look and see that that service engine light appeared. So i figure whatever, and when i begin to drive away after reaching around 20 mph, the car starts like stalling out and wont accelerate any higher, and my exhaust is like tssss tssss tsssss and i let off the pedal and try to keep driving, and it must have happend 5-6 times until i reached my destination. So im thinking about this all day, and figure i would take it to the dealership later, if i could even make it over there. So i get in the car and drive over to the dealership, but it never happend (even tho its only like 3 miles away), but the service engine light was still on the dash. They said they will look into it, and one of the techs said it prob has something to do with the throttle body...........any ideas anyone?? is this bad??

You'd probably have to do a search but I have heard of this with G's that have some sort of aftermarket intake. It shouldn't be a big deal if that's what the problem is.

my car did the same, it was because of the throttle body.

I thought the intake issue was only WOT at high speed to closed throttle with clutch in and it might stall. AT doesn't have this issue, does it? Is there another one you're thinking about?

Sounds like the popular TB problem. It's an easy fix from the dealer, so don't worry about it.

It's definitely all your mods. Take them all off and send them to me. That'll take care of it.

Aside from the throttle body, I've also heard of the filter coming off of aftermarket intakes due to road vibration and poor installations. Did you take a quick check under the hood before taking it to the dealership?
