Wasn't there a running change with regard to the center console and armrest?

Also, is anyone aware of how to interpret a Coupe's VIN # to figure out what it's actual car number is... like if it was produced early it may be #741 or if it was made later in the year it may be #3486 ?

the last 6 digits in the VIN will determine the # of which yours was produced, the lower, the earlier, that simple.
As far as later model coupes, the center console did have a slight revision as far as the ashtray button being removed. And with the 6MT, they added a center armrest. I believe this was done in January production models.

RR. Not sure, but was the SAT prewire included at that time? seems to me January was about the time they came prewired. I knew about the console change in the 6M/T, but which ashtray button do you mean? My ashtray has a push release. Is that changed? or is it the console cup holders that got changed. Were the same changes done to the A/T as the 6M/T also?

The ashtray changed on the 6MT only. On the original 6MT console (the one from the Z) the front ashtray was in the console (no rear ashtray). The Titanium shifter cover had a cubby in it just under the radio. It flipped up, and opened with a pushbutton. The updated console has no ashtray in the front (it does however, have one in the rear). The shifter cover lost the cubby and gained an ashtray that opens with a touch and flips down. On my car with the updated console and old shifter cover, I have no front ashtray, but I do have a cubby. IMO, if you don't smoke, and I don't. NO ONE smokes in my car. The cubby has far more value, because it holds more than the ashtray.

GSM, you are right about the SAT prewire...that was on january builds i believe it was.

As far as the ashtray, mine does not have a button below it. You just push the upper part of it and it opens up by itself.
The console cup holders also got changed in the 6mt's center console. Also, the heated seats buttons were moved.

Thanks Lowrider & RR. I think I prefer the heated seat buttons location on the old console. Mine are same as the new and get flipped on easily by mistake. no biggie.
RR- are those your Infiniti floor mats in the old console car? I've lost track of which one you've got now. I'd like to see more of them (installed) if that's yours.

no bro, mine is the lower one, the newer console.
I've only turned them on by mistake ONCE. Its been 5 months.
Those floormats arent mine [img]/w3timages/icons/tongue.gif[/img] just a pic i had here. Someone was selling those for about $180, thats too much for just mats, IMO
