REV light on my new G
REV light on my new G
I just picked up my new G yesterday and there is a REV light on my dash. I looked in the manual and there is no reference on what that is.. or if i need to set something. can anyone help with this?
regarding rev light
yo wats up.. i got an 06 coupe 6mt and i figured how to set the rev light.. you know that button u push on the gauges when u want to reset the mileage so u can see how long u been going (trip a or Trip B).. hit the button 3 times then u'll see a 4 digit number example:3000 hold the button when u see that and when it blinks just hit the button again and the number goes up for u to set the RPM shift light then when ur done just leave it alone and it will stop blinking and when it does u can hit the button again and go bak to trip A or Trip B mode

Congrats on your new G. You don't NEED to set that light for anything if you don't just want to. It is really just what my step father always called an "idiot light". The car won't let you do anything to hurt it really (i.e. overrev) so it is just a driving aid if you want to use it. IIRC they come set for redline and as you approach that it will start blinking at you.
Don't worry too much about it though unless you have a reason to use it.

Yeah, it seems like it's an aid for shifting or another method of switching gears early to save gas. I set mine to blink at 7000.

are you talking about the actual light that says REV? cuase that one you can't turn off.
Basically it's just a shift light. A red light will start blinking once you get near the rpm you set.
