keep the M3 unless you dont have anymore warranty, or get IS350

 

Have your brother test drive both cars. After he makes his final decision, ask for a sibling discount/consideration and buy the M.

 

Well it must be some extenuating circumstances, cuz I have no clue why you would get rid of the m3 for a Z or even a G. I love my car...but M3s are so nice...sigh.

had the 02 M3 (6spd) and the 04 M3 (SMG) before my G. sold the 04 M3 bc i didn't like the SMG but the real reason why i switched is bc i get bored quickly. pros and cons to all 3 cars - but i must admit the M3 handles like a dream...

 

thing is guys, most owners here try to upgrade from a Z to an M3
you will experience a loss in handling and speed, but made up in sex appeal. its upto you, or him actually. id love to drive an M...ill do an even trade w/ him. modded G 6MT for his M

 

Hmmm let's see... Raysur350gt, motoracer, rudeboy, roadracer516, limeg35 (), P Diddy, CT_Texas, myself, a few others I'm forgetting, and as of recently, carfanatic56 has gotten an M3 as well. This is just the people off the top of my head who have upgraded to an M in the past few months. There's been a few that have upgraded to Porsches as well.. Notice a trend?

I would only get rid of an M3 if:

1) the car is a borderline lemon
2) can't afford the payments anymore... then again, if you're willing to get into another 5-year loan just to save $200 bucks a month, you shouldn't be looking at a G or a Z anyways.

Warranties can be extended, so that's no excuse. You can get tired of a car... but why get something so similar that would be considered a downgrade? Not just a loss in power and handling, but you can't compare the interior of a Z with that of a BMW, even though I love 350Zs. Unless he wants to twin turbo the Z, I wouldn't get it. It's getting redesigned soon, and there are so many new cars on the market today. To the guy that sold his SMG because he didn't like it, I don't blame you lol.

 

What year is your brother's M3 and what is the mileage on it? others says it would be a down grade, might be true to point, but if your bro's M3 is say 01~02? I wont think its a down grade to G/Z at all, personlly I just dont like used cars, honestly I would pick brand new Civic over 03 G35 anyday, besides not everyone could upgrade to a P-car from M3

 

I just sold my M3 for the G Coupe. I think it was a good trade.

My M3 was an SMG and I hated it as a daily driver.

BUT...I have a few other cars to keep my happy after work and on the weekdays.

If it were my only driver I don't know if I would be happy in the long run. I think I would buy a 4 door sedan of some type.

And you have lost how much in depreciation on the last 5 cars you bought and sold? If I had to speak for myself and add up the numbers, I'd have to be put on suicide watch heh. So selling your 06 M3 for an 02 Porsche Turbo is a downgrade too? I think not

 

fk the m3, its a glorified 3 series. the G is ten times sexier, even the Z than the m3. one of my good buddies has an m3 and everytime we roll together, my car gets the looks everytime. its cool though becuase we have respect for each other because he knows mine is sexier but i know his car can kick my *** any day. everyones tastes are different.

 

The m3 rocks the G/Z any day of the week.
