About To Buy My First G

Hello and greetings to all the G35 coupe/sedan owners in this forum.

I have been contemplating to get a G35 coupe for quite some time now and I've decided now is the perfect time to do so. I have a few questions about the 06 G35 mt couple. Any appropriate input will be highly appreciated!

1. The price I was offered for a brand new Ivory White 06 G35 mt coupe with premium & sport M6 package is $55,750. (Canadian Dollars. I am from Canada) Am I getting a good deal for the car?

2. The intelligent key is deleted from the package I'm interested in purchasing. Anyone finds it an inconvience WITHOUT the intelligent key?

3. Not sure if this is due to the fact that I don't drive the G on a regular day-to-day basis, but do any of you find it hard to do shoulder checks in the coupe? Or am I the only one experiencing this problem?

Well that's all the concerns I got at the moment, if anymore pops up, I'll mention them in the replies.

Looking forward to hear your responces.

I'm sure your including taxes.....just checking

I would say that the price is fair.

I paid 53k for my 04' 6mt just before the 05's came out. I know I got a lower than normal price because I fought for that price. Another dealership was giving me the same car for 53k and my dealership told me to go buy it there. After a lot of ball busting I got my way. They knew that the offer from the other dealership was true, so you can see that they were close to bottom.

The price has gone up 1k per year since then. I would say It's a good deal if your in ontario and paying 15% tax.

Best of luck sealing the deal...

But curious as to what a "shoulder check" is?

good luck on your purchase. also in the US the price went up 2% due to the gas prices as well.

the intelligent key is a great feature getting used to but maybe one day they'll implement it w/ the 6mt's

Hi there!

If by "shoulder checks" you are referring to blind spots you are certainly not alone...no issues on the passenger side but I find myself having to lean forward just to get a better view on the driver's side. It's almost as bad as my S2K was w/ its top up.

Is Intelligent Key an option on the 6MT in Canada? I don't believe they offer it in the States.

I believe the I-Key is only for the AT's, not 6MT's. As for the shoulder check, I've always been so used to moving up and looking in my side mirror to see if anyone is there as opposed to looking over my shoulder. If you really had to though you could always put one of those little mini mirrors inside your side mirror to get that angle without moving up but that can look tacky.

The 6MT does not come with the intellikey nor is it an option. Only available on the autos.

I don't have a problem with the blind spot, no worse or better then any other coupe I have ever owned.
