Is there a thread[s] out there that lists the most "necessary" mods in term of popularity and performance?

In addition to that, a thread or link to a website[s] that gives a description of what each mod does? I mean, most of us are car-smart, or car-enthusiasts but some of these mods are new - at least to me, embarrassed to say I'm new to this.

 

hey guys, i'm a noob and been looking all over for Tom Z's post for how to change out an 03 cluster to an 05. someone said there was a nice DIY write up and i haven't been able to find it yet. any help would be greatly appreciated.
