Widest / Most Aggressive wheels on a sedan?

First Post.

I come from the 240sx world where rolled and pulled fenders housing ultra wide, low offset wheels and stretched tires are the norm.

my s14 with 18x8.5 +25 (225/40/18) and 18x9.5 +30 (245/40/18) is pretty conservative compared to what people are doing these days.

from browsing the forums and doing some searching, it seems that most people here arent running aggressive setups, due to not wanting to modify the fenders.

My question is this:

What is the absolute lowest offset 9.5 wide wheel I can run in the rear of the g35 sedan? i want to stretch a 245 section width tire and roll the fender completely flat to accomodate. I also plan to significantly lower the chassis on TEIN flex coilovers and run the associated negative camber.

My second question:

Who currently runs the most aggressive setup here on the boards? pics? specs?

He gave you offsets for a coupe.

On a sedan, I think the lowest offset rear wheels I've seen were G35KEG, who had +33 on 245/35/19. However, his car was not dropped too much, so it really didn't reflect the look you are looking for. I used to have +38 on 275/30/19's running 3 degrees of negative camber in the rear with fully rolled fenders slammed on Tein coilovers, and it cleared by 1mm at load.

Here are some pics, unfortunately they were taken when I was only dropped on springs, and without sever negative camber:

This is the only pic I have that is with the car slammed with the severe neg camber:

Trying to add here for us wanting 20 inch rims...

Whats the Max Width you can run and at what offset....
Ive heard 20 x 10 with a +43 offset

I know i might get flamed for wanting 20's but my reasoning here is that 20 inch tires cost less...

Thanks in advance for your help

anyone stretching tires with the edge of the rim protruding past the fender, and the sidewall just barely clearing? that's the look i'm going for.

these are all s13's but you get the idea

Good question...well, I think it's safe to assume that most of us sedan drivers like a nice "agressive" set up but one that is practical and fits without any mods to fenders. I've always thought the G Sedan is a great project car for the VIP look if done properly.

That being said I've done some measurements and test fitments on my car just for the sake of it in the past and here are my conclusions.

Rear 10" rim with 275/30 tire, offset +25 - this combo will bring the edge of the wheel lip just outside the fenderline, but the tire with a drop will camber in 0.20" inside the fender, just enough to clear the rolled fenders. If you pull them and stretch tires, we can start having some real fun.

Front 9" rim with 245/35 tire, offset +20 - this combo will bring the edge of the wheel lip just inside the fenderline, but the tire with a drop will camber in approx 0.20" also. However, the front will require some more work to clear the lining inside the wheel well and you'll have to play with the camber a little bit.

This set up will keep you busy to make it fit, but it will look PIMP! If you want more stretch go with 235 front and 265 rear, and the same amount of mods on the fenders and you will clear no problem.

Good luck.

You can use those specs with 275/30/20. It will barely clear the inside lip of the fender.

I have 20x10's +43 with 275/30's in the rear with 1.0" H&R drop and I had to roll my fenders but no problems now. Even with 3 people in the back seat and a full trunk.

now that's what i'm talking about. i'd like to get into the teens on a 9.5 in the rear, 8.5 up front, or perhaps something like 19x9 +15 all around.

thanks for the help

+55 is beyond conservative.

this thread is about aggressive setups.
