Don't be too quick to put in synthetic. You should really wait until well after break-in. This is because there is considerable wear during the break-in period that is necessary for the rigs to seat properly. If you switch to synthetic, you reduce the wear that is supposed to occur and you end up with various problems associated with gases blowing past the rings and down into the oil.
