Oh yea, I forgot about that. I think you just see it if you don't. I have to tighten a belt tonight so I will check if you can see mine.

Hey Tim, my belt on the lower left side (think it is the power steering pump belt) is starting to get chewed up. Is there a way to tighten it up? Also, I remember opening the SC kit and I thought I remember 3 belts in there. Which belt part # or size do I need to replace that belt??? Does any of this make any sense?

If your belt is getting chewed up then it sounds like it is too tight, not too loose to me. Or something is off a little. I made the small 4-rib one too tight when I first installed my kit and killed it. Since then all three have been fine.

You will have three belts
1) The 6-rib main belt that follows the factory path, except for the new idler pulley. Gates #:K060500 (I used a 60505 because for some reason the 500 was too small for me.
2) The 6-rib belt that goes from the double pulley to the SC drive assembly (colored pulley: red/blue/gold/silver depending on stage). Gates#:K060288
3) The 4-rib belt that directly drives the SC. Gates #:K040220 (this one is hard to find and I had to have a small shop in Phoenix order them for me.

I keep a spare of each in my trunk along with the tools to change it if needed.

PS, you can drive without the blower spinning if needed but be nice to it until you can get it changed.

I payed and ordered for the whole kit 2 weeks ago (6/9/2006) and have yet to receive anything. Chad has gotten in 3 diamond graphite front bumpers and they all have been damaged in transit, and now I have to wait until to July to get the front bumper. Hopefully the sides and rear should be here today (he overnighted them from CA to NC). I didn't know this was going to be this much trouble just to get the whole kit. Chad has had great customer service tho (kinda hard to get ahold of most of the time), very nice guy.

Yes, otherwise it gets in the way of the new bumper when seating it in.

I think I still have a pic on my home pc. I'll put it up here sometime tonight.

Basically, they are two triangle shaped pieces that are just under the bumper "guard" itself.

Once you get the bumper cover off, look at it dead on, you will see what I am talking about. I dont think the instructions actually have a pic of the part that needs to come off.

How to Remove Rivets @ Side Markers?

Hey I have all the screws and attachment hardware off of the bumper. I can not see how to remove the rivets under the headlight on each side. I can drill the ones right at the fender well, but what about the one under the headlight. Do I take the tire off and remove the fender well liner? I have little patients so have walked away until I get the answer from one of you. Thanks.

i just installed the rear and sides of the kit on my car. It looks great but the instructions called for the removal of the rear bumper to install the rear valence, and i didn't do that.

Is it necissary to remove the bumper to install the last 4 bolts. I might remove it next weekend, and do it.

Does anyone know how to remove the rear bumper, I have searched and found nothing.

Thanks

Please ignore my previous post

I had asked about the rivits under the headlights earlier. Well after taking a step back and focusing a little more. Long night out last night. I was able to remove and install the new bumper. I must say that the paint match is spot on with the silver. It matches better than my factory rear bumper. It looks great. Now I must make the chose between the aero sides and rear or just paint my factory black pieces. I may even get aftermarket sides and piece together my own kit. Any way thanks Chad the bumper looks great. I will take pics soon, I left my camera at my office this weekend. I will post back later with pics.
