New Window Motor Issue - Possible TSB?
On my 2005 G35x - a new problem has popped up.
the front windows only.
the window does not go up all the way
instead - as soon as it hits the rubber runners it stops and tries to tighten itself. it is sealed tight - - but everytime you press it up again it makes a creaking/tightning sound
i had the motors replaced once - but it came back after a few weeks. I cleaned out the runner...did not work.
I have heard a few others on other boards complain...
has anyone else besides I, experianced this problem?

Sorta the same issue. When my drivers window is all the way up you can push and pull on the door handle and the window begins to creak and pop. It's especially bad when its hot outside. Roll the window all the way down and the popping creaking stops. Dealership can't seem to fix the problem.

My fix involved covering the entire upper lip of the metal door with stickey backed felt. I buy a few sheets of the stuff at Wal-Mart every five years or so to use for fixing rattles... costs a whopping $0.20 or so per sheet! It's called "Presto Felt" and you can find it in the craft department.
In any case I cut strips of the felt in about 1.5" x 12" strips and wrapped it over the inner door lip that the finisher hangs on.
When I test drove the car, the right rear noise was gone... but then I could hear it a little bit from the left rear. Added the felt to the left rear and then didn't hear it there either.
I'm not ready to proclaim it fixed yet... we'll see how it does in the heat during the day... but it looks like this may have worked!
Sort of bugs me that I'm fixing things on a car with 7K under warranty - but this is so simple and I don't know if the dealership would get it right. They took three tries replacing my battery!

There are a couple of TSBs that might help with the front window issues... I found these summaries at http://www.nissan-techinfo.com/infin...0(V35)%2003-06

IF YOU CONFIRM: A rattle or creak noise coming from the top area of a window frame near the "B" pillar, · This noise may occur when driving over bumps or rough roads with the window rolled all the way up. · If the noise occurs, it will stop when the window is rolled down. · This noise may occur at any of the four side window frames. ACTIONS: · Apply Felt-Cloth Tape to the "rubber door glass run" (weatherstrip). · Apply "3M Silicone Lubricant Plus, Wet Type" to the door glass run channel. See this bulletin for further detail.

IF YOU CONFIRM A creak, pop, or ticking noise coming from inside a rear door (left or right) with the window all the way UP, ACTIONS 1. Replace the attaching bolts for window regulator-to-window with the shorter bolts listed in the Parts Informationof this bulletin. 2. Test drive the vehicle to make sure the noise is gone. See this bulletin for further detail.

wow I have had my car in twice already for this noise and they can never "confirm the customers concern". I am trying to get an appointment for this week and lan on driving the car with the tech or sa this time. I am about to make a road trip up to Goose Creek, SC and Reevesville, SC to visit family and I do not want to listen to those rattles for 8 hours.
It is hard enough to listen to for 20 to 30 minutes.

You know, I never looked at the 2003 or 2004 sections of Infiniti Help's TSB documents?
You just described the exact noise I've been complaining about for nearly a year. In my case, I can look at the "this tint complies with TN state law blah" sticker at the bottom of the door. When I roll the window up and let go of the switch, I can see the window drift down slightly, and I get a soft series of ticks and clicks as if something sliding along rubber is expanding or contracting. This sounds like it!
I wonder if these problems are due to poor craftsmanship when I had the windows tinted. I went to the same place the dealer would have sent the car...
I'm also getting these noises:
"2003–2005 INFINITI G35; DRIVER’S SEAT NOISE AND/OR ROCKS BACK AND FORTH" http://www.infinitihelp.com/Ownershi.../ITB02-080.htm
"2003-2004 INFINITI G35 SEDAN (ONLY); RATTLE FROM REAR PARCEL SHELF FINISHER" http://www.infinitihelp.com/Ownershi.../ITB04-064.htm
