I have an offer for some Eibach Coupe Springs from a seller on here BNIB. Should I move forward and buy or wait another week and buy a new set of H&R's..?? The drop will be lower with the coupes. My main concerns are ride quality and fender rolling, I am planning on camber kit in the future, but dont want to have to make more mods after I buy the springs. This is not a DD, so very few miles and not a lot of passengers. I dont want to just get a deal on springs. Looking for your guys recomendations....Thanks in advance

Ohh and before everyone shouts BC at me, I dont have the cash to go full on coilovers yet!

^ how much cash do you have on hand? I might be willing to part ways with my BC coils with maybe 7-9k miles overall.

I have Hotchkis sways. Coupe rear sway bars fit AWD. Hotchkis just made new front sways for the X recently...sold as a set.

Here's a pic of mine installed.

Yea it has been known about the rears that anything for RWD works. Just the front shafts get in the way of the front sway.

I wanted some reveiws from AWD owners with BOTH front and rear because it will be more balanced then just getting the rear.

If you have both front and rear please post your review and thoughts about it.

Need some help guys. I am new here and new to my G. I have an 04x with 129k miles. My suspension already squeaks as I go over bumps or up/down and incline.

I have Tein S-techs that I want to install, but I am curious about a few things:

1. What suspension components will I most likely need to replace after installing these?

2. I am currently on 18 x 9.5 +35 all around, will I need any additional parts/mods ie. camber kits, fender work, ect.?

The front coils maxed out gives about 2 inch fender gap and is fine. The rear springs don't adjust enough gives about 0.5 inch fender gap. You can get them to include 255 springs when you order(. Haven't been on here in a while but it's been mentioned in several threads if you search) and it will have an even fender gap front and back. With the back at max height you can still drive fast though and won't scrape at all

You have absolutely nothing to worry about...you'd be surprised how much better your car would handle with the coilovers. You could drop 2 inches front and rear and still be fine in your case with all that wheel gap lol

Just installed a new set of H&R's Sedan Springs in my 04X. Drop was exactly 2 inches all the way around. Was told since it was a progressive spring, I didnt have to wait for the springs to "settle". I simply left the dealership and drove around in town for lunch and what not, came back and got it aligned. Love the ride, love the way it handles, was sick when I saw the alignment spec...All this leading up to my question... What are the longterm problems with driving with negative camber?

Front Left = -1.7 Front Right = -1.9
Toe .06 Toe .06

Rear Left = -2.2 Rear Right = -2.1
Toe .28 Toe .13

The bottom line is the spring went from no load on it to a half ton compressing it. No matter what anybody says or what type of spring, whether linear or progressive, there will always be some settle, sag, break-in etc. If you are now almost rubbing since the "after" photo, you might need another alignment.

EDIT: i have 19x8.5 drags all around

Does anyone have any suggestions for me? I have a 2006 X Sedan. It looks like the monster truck and I want to lower it. I don't want to do camber and stance it out, but I want to lower it at least an inch. I went through a lot of these pages and a lot of them are cambered. I'm looking to buy them by February.
