Nice car Stoof... FlyingLumpia, how many sets of springs have you put on that thing *L* looks good...

So for my 04x, I'm going to run Sportlines + DSpecs in the rear. In the front, I can go with

1) sportlines + stock struts
2) sportlines + Koni revalved struts
3) sportlines + another???? aftermarket manufacturer's front struts
4) find a set of coilovers for the front???

I like option #3 the most but have found 0 information on anyone who makes "sports" struts for the front of the X. I'll keep looking around but if anyone has a manufacturer name (or has something for sale) let me know.

[update] see pics below - I've gotta do something about that gap... I do love the looks of the brake kit I got from FastBrakes.com, though.

Looks good!:0 congrats

my recommendation...leave the gap alone. Its gonna be a headache/alot of work to get rid of couple inches. well thats my experience.

has anybody tried this to get rid of gap:

20s with thicker/meater tires?

couple of large concrete bricks in the trunk?

Oh, also which breaks did u get from fastbrakes? the whole BBK?

Jclayc. Let me see, I have ran 03 350z fronts and 03 coupe rears then I got. 350z h-tech in the front while running the coupe in the rears, took the coupe out and put the 350z h-tech in the rear. Found a guy selling 350z s-tech for the front bought those and put them in. Then I bought 07 350z spring and just put the rears on. Yes I have done alot of switching. LOL Just having fun.

Seddon you dont like the revalved koni. What do you not like about them?

BTW I got my brake kit from fastbrakes.com. Brian is a great guy to work with. If you need to get ahold of him the best time is 9am pst. If you call him you get a better deal. Here is my shot. People saying the rotor is on wrong but if you look at the coupe/z with the brembo rotors they are going the same way. I got the 4 piston kit though.

Now here is a shot of a coupe with brembos just the opposite side.

Your going about things the wrong way. Your running the oem G35 bumpstops/dust shields aren't you? You didn't do anything to get better springs, correct? You may simply have too much rebound dialed in combined with too much bumpstop height and too little spring rate. I have a 448lbs linear front springs you can try that sit on a 6061 mounts I hand machined, front drop is the same as the H&R front sedan springs. If you can invest $40 on Koni progressive soft bump stops I will lend the springs to you to test at no cost, all I ask is that you return them after no more then 30 day's. I will say, I was happier with 560lbs front springs, but those would require my Koni front coilover parts and pillowball upper mounts, which I don't want to lend out at this time. Reason I was happier with the 560lbs fronts was because the extra spring rate helped keep the fronts out of the bumpstops more often then the 448lbs setup, though the drop amount was 3/4" IIRC vs 1.25".

Can you please post some pictures of the front Kon's that clearly shows how they were modified?

So I've gone through the past couple of pages and I'm still kind of confused...
I recently just purchased a 04' G35X and wanted to lower it about 1" to 1.5" all the way around. I am going to purchase either 19" rims or 20" rims. I'm on a tight budget so I really didn't want to go all out and purchase camber arms and everything. (so that makes coilovers out of the question too) I really just want to know the best and most cost effective way to lower it. I was thinking of new Z springs up front and stock coupe springs in the rear.. Does anyone have any expierence with that setup?? Or any negative points about that setup??? Ride quality??? Also I have stock 18" Z rims and I was wondering if I could put those on even though they are staggered sizes... The tire is the same height but I wasn't sure if that would work. I was going to put those on for winter and then purchase new rims in spring. Thank you for all the help!!! I am a new G owner but I have owned a 03 Z so I'm familiar w/ the motor and love for it!! -Nick

So you got Wildwood BBK from Fastbrakes? NOt Fastbrakes own set?

What size is the rotor? How come you didnt get bigger rotors?

Sorry for all the questions...need to upgrade my brakes soon. How do they feel vs stock?

PM if u want...as this isnt thread isnt about brakes. TIA

Nothing that special. You can put 350z springs on. But be warned that the back in might look alittle lower than the front but that is because of the wheel well on how they are cut. From what I read, you would want to get 03 350z springs, but you might want to us 05+ 350z rear shock since the are the revised ones, it will be less bouncy. As for the fronts there is really nothing out there, unless you send your fronts to koni to get the wet kit. Hope this answer you question.

My G has 350z revised springs and shocks and struts. It has a little bounce to it but not an annoying amount to me.

just looking at putting in some 06 z springs and using the factory G shocks and struts on her X to avoid that bounce.

What year are the "revised" Z springs ?

04.5 and up. You cant put the front from a g or a z, you will see why when you take the front wheel off.

FlyingLumpia I never said that I don't like them, they ride great as compare to before and considering rim size and 35 series tire. I wouldn't mind doing a comparison with something else. I have so many combos and the Koni's are the best so far.
