do X's require different springs than a non X G ?

I put revised 350z springs in my RWD and the drop is perfect.
I put revised 350z springs in my girlfriends X and the front ride heght looks the same ??? The rear of her car lowerd perfectly though.

I did leave her factory X shocks and struts in. On my RWD I put in the revised 350z shocks and struts with the springs.

any help ??????

Thought I'd post an update: I dropped my 04 G35X a few weeks ago using Eibach sportline springs on all 4 corners, DSPECs in the rear and (since there's nothing else I can find), the factory struts on the front. I also have SPC rear camber adjusters on the back.

The car has settled a fraction of an inch more than the original drop. I don't have measurements but it appears to be just over a 1.5" drop. I have a Stillen sway on the rear. That plus the DSPECs on their firmest setting plus the factory front struts makes for a fairly firm/rough ride, with a bit of a bounce. I definitely avoid potholes, manhole covers and odd changes in the grade in the highway.

Did I mention I still love it? The ride is tolerable for me (my wife hates it) and it does handle like a dream. Here are the pics

that's it, just an update...

Oh, get this - I took the car to Sears Auto to get it aligned - they couldn't attach their alignment stuff to my wheel, told me I needed to go to a specialty shop. Ugh.

if anyone has a suggestion for a tolerable ride - FlyingLumpia, apintojr - something for the front of the X, let me know.

man at that ride height even after your springs installed (which looks a million times better) I still wouldn't think you car would ride that harsh.

I guess I don't understand these X's ???

my RWD G sits just a tad lower than yours on revised z springs and z shock and struts and it's stiffer but doesn't ride harsh.

maybe it's a combo of 2 things: the rear DSpecs are set at their firmest and maybe the front, factory struts are worn out? It's got 40K miles... I'm thinking maybe Tociko HP struts? Koni sport struts? on the front may be better - they'll fit the AWD (I think).

Nobody makes anything for the fronts. If you want something done, you are going to have to take the fronts off and send them to either Koni or you can get it done a truechoice (which nobody has done for the x yet). I am still working with the company about coilovers, the guy said a big wig is coming to see him in a couple of weeks and I am going to meet him. From there they are going to decide to do a coilover system for our cars.

I just got back from SEMA and talk to all the manufacturers about coilovers for the X. None of them said they were doing any type of R&D for our cars. I told them they should but if they listen to me is all up to them.

Hope this helps guys. There is some choices and I am working on the other hopefully it will come true for us.
